C.32.MWA.PP:5.7 - Obtain a weekly comparison and distinguish the learner’s own contribution
The following constructed cases use stipulated requirements, task evidence and effort estimates. They illustrate choices under those premises, not measured savings or a general estimate of AI reliability. Use this Method and its full suppliers when adapting them.
C.32.MWA.PP:5.7.1 - Obtain a weekly comparison with limited specialist time
A team needs a comparison of changes in twenty supplier notices before its weekly planning decision. The result must preserve the applicable source version, changed conditions and any unresolved implication. The recipient needs the comparison, not personal mastery of every extraction operation. In this case, representative prior use supports two ways that meet the same acceptance conditions.
| Specialist work for one weekly comparison | Current manual way | Qualified AI-assisted way |
|---|---|---|
| Prepare the source comparison | 3 hours | 0.5 hours |
| Check decision-bearing source claims | 1 hour | 1 hour |
| Correct, integrate and use the comparison | 1 hour | 1 hour |
| Total recurring specialist time | 5 hours | 2.5 hours |
The AI-assisted way also requires 1.5 hours of initial setup. The team has three specialist hours available each week after continuing obligations. Under these stipulated estimates, the first assisted cycle needs four hours and cannot fit; later cycles need 2.5. C.32.MWA.PP exposes that timing constraint instead of hiding setup in an average saving. The owner obtains 1.5 hours for setup in the preceding week, without displacing its existing commitments. The selected arrangement now fits its stated resource premise. Two such comparisons with no shared work would need five recurring hours and reopen that premise.
The agent receives the twenty applicable notices and the comparison question. It may read the supplied material and prepare an internal draft; it has no authority in this case to amend supplier terms or publish externally. A source-checking return preserves a notice’s condition: a changed lead time applies to new orders after a specified date. The receiver uses that condition to separate new orders from the existing backlog. A draft that applied the new time to every order would fail the receiving use even if generation completed without an error.
The worked arrangement ends with the used comparison and its unresolved items. If a source becomes inaccessible, the affected claim remains unverified; other supported claims can still be used within their limits. If correcting the drafts begins to exceed the estimate, reopen that candidate’s effort and qualification. Faster generation alone does not establish the original capacity claim.
C.32.MWA.PP:5.7.2 - Change the purpose to the person’s own capability
Keep the reporting task, but add a separately chosen purpose: an analyst must learn to identify when a changed source condition alters the comparison. The AI-assisted production arrangement can continue supplying this week’s usable result while the learning work is arranged. Include the learning time in the same capacity account.
Use appropriate learning Methods to design representative practice and perform it with feedback and correction. Give the learner a relevant notice and its receiving question, with the assistance permitted for this learning purpose. Ask the learner to identify the condition, show which conclusion it changes and explain why. Feedback addresses the observed omission; a subsequent attempt tests the repaired operation. Giving the answer before an attempt may support production while defeating the particular evidence sought about the learner’s own performance.
When the claim concerns unfamiliar work or retained ability, use an assessment Method for that transfer or retention claim under the required support and timing conditions. One successful attempt supports only what was exercised. If the later work permits a source or AI aid, test the person’s required contribution with that support instead of silently changing the goal to unaided recall.
Suppose the learner now notices that two apparently comparable notices use different order-date conventions. Recover the conventions from their sources, or ask a domain practitioner for the missing interpretation. Use C.39.MC if the comparison Method needs to change, and preserve comparisons whose premises still hold. Use each result at its supported scope: the report supports this week’s decision, the observed learning response informs further practice, and a qualified Method change can be reused under its conditions.
