C.39.QR:11 - SoTA-Echoing
The practice question is how to preserve an encompassing question through partial work and warranted appraisal at a burden suitable for repeated use. The selected line is the explicit connection in section 4 of question recovery, typed inference, adequacy comparison, constructive return and attention at consequential occasions.
A serious alternative is a competent practitioner’s direct composition of C.39, the relevant subject methods, C.37 or C.29, C.41, and the receiving work’s acceptance rule. That arrangement can supply the same valid result. Use it when its connections are already understood and available. The additional contribution here is a reusable explanation of the two distinct judgements and their constructive continuation, so the recipient can obtain that connection without devising it anew.
The trade-off is another description to learn and maintain. The selected arrangement keeps the detailed whole-account construction in C.39.WA and uses subject methods for their actual questions. Section 4.6 places the short questions at consequential returns; it does not add an independent check to every local operation. Its logical distinctions and explicit operations are inspectable in the text; reduced omissions, learning effort and useful effect require evidence from use.
Frigg and Nguyen’s DEKI and the Mislocation of Justification distinguishes derivational correctness from justified claims about a target. This distinction is adapted in sections 4.2–4.3; a semantic account of representation leaves empirical justification to the relevant practice. The present Method adds the distinct comparison with the originating assignment and a constructive continuation.
Reopen the arrangement when a simpler available composition supplies the same needed connection at lower total burden, when the additional entry obstructs use, or when actual work reveals a consequential return that its operations fail to handle.
