IS.2:4.2 - Construct the action-changing alternatives

State explanations as working claims about the episode. “The lookup route cannot retrieve this edition” is more useful than “technology barrier”. Explain what would differ if the claim were true and which response it would warrant.

Possible explanationUseful contrast when it can change actionDifferent response
The needed source or tool cannot be used. Can the qualified performer proceed when effective access is supplied?Repair access or select another qualified obtaining way.
An operation or judgement is missing. What contribution does an expert make that is absent from the ordinary attempt?Obtain that contribution, explain the Method or develop the intended performer’s capability.
The target does not fit the receiving case.Which relied-on condition differs, and does the known alternative address it?Reconsider the target or qualify a variant through the subject practice and A.3.1.MV.
Correct work conflicts with current commitments. What occupies the necessary interval, and who can change the allocation?Obtain a feasible coexistence or workload decision.
Correct participation brings adverse consequences. What actually follows the action, compared with the stated rule?Obtain an effective change to those consequences; instruction alone is insufficient.
A completed action returns no wanted value. What did the receiver need, and what remained unresolved after completion?Repair the contribution or reconsider the desired action.

The table is illustrative. Form another explanation when the case requires it. Several can survive: an unclear instruction and unavailable time can both matter. A determinant inventory can prompt a question, but its label supplies neither an operation nor a causal conclusion.

Do not diagnose a person from silence or non-use. Ask for their account where it can be obtained appropriately. Refusal can reveal an unacceptable burden, a valid objection or a legitimate choice. When a clinical or specialist judgement is actually needed, return it to a qualified professional instead of extending implementation advice into that domain.
