LDR.4:4.3 - Trace consequences in representative work
Use a concrete task and its receiving action. Show the products and means before and after the proposal. Ask the participants where an extra operation appears, an input is missing, work is displaced, an obligation changes or an undesirable consequence becomes possible.
Different findings need different responses. A participant may have misunderstood the proposed scope; explain it. The proposal may duplicate an existing report; find the report’s receiver and determine whether the duplication is needed. A claimed benefit may lack technical grounds; obtain the subject construction through B.5.SD. An actual loss may need compensation, a different option or refusal. Do not rename all these findings “resistance.”
Explain why the proposed arrangement works under its conditions and what remains uncertain. The people who will produce and receive the result are often the best source of a missing operational dependency. Include an external provider or later receiver when their work is material.
Discuss what must be done before negotiating titles as rewards. At the same time, recover competence, authority and resources as soon as they affect feasibility. A proposed first use may be impossible because the specialist belongs to another organization. That fact cannot wait until after everyone has approved the technical concept.
If the work competes with ongoing service, OCE.11 supplies the organization-specific reconciliation. If it changes a product and its producing organization together, OCE.7 coordinates those decisions. In other settings, obtain the corresponding resource and delivery contribution directly.
