LDR.Reference:2 - How the three leadership methods and their suppliers connect

Joint work fails in several different ways. A participant may lack capable help; available contributions may conflict; a discussion may leave its subject unresolved; a proposal may never pass from plausible explanation to an effective decision and first use. Each failure needs its own construction.

LDR.1 obtains and continues the needed leadership contribution. It selects and supports capable performers, including the ordinary working conversations that may suffice. LDR.2 constructs an accepted whole from incompatible contributions. FPF Core supplies B.5.SD to construct a substantive answer with the domain expertise that makes it warranted. LDR.4 prepares a proposal through trusted judgement, consequences, objections, revision, commitment, shared start and first use.

The methods connect conditionally. During negotiation, participants can expose a technical uncertainty and use B.5.SD to obtain an answer; they then return the changed proposal to LDR.2. During proposal preparation under LDR.4, they can use negotiation and the supplied analytical construction without repeating either. If the current arrangement already has a capable person who supplies all the needed contributions, retain it under LDR.1. No separate facilitator, mentor, coordinator or office is required for each method.

A proposal, agreement, plan, instruction, performed contribution and claim of capability are different things. One document can describe several of them, and one performer can perform several methods. Conversely, one method may require several people or agents and several working products. Keep methods, their actual work, capability bearers, organizational parts, resources and powers distinct when constructing the arrangement. FPF C.32.MWA provides the fuller method for relating these objects.
