RHY-CARD-04 — Respond to a changing rhythmic practice

  • Situation: One variant is appearing more often, and someone proposes changing what performers learn or preserve.
  • Question: Which possible development would change the present choice?
  • First useful result or blocker: A qualified keep, change or preserve-alternatives decision, or a material unknown that prevents it.
  • Mantra: Name the decision and population; distinguish the variants; compare possible explanations; choose a useful response; investigate only a consequential unknown.
  • Start with: MDPE.20 for musical or dance development; RHY.2/.7/.8 for structures and variants, RHY.9–.14 for the performance or response that the decision needs.
  • Stop or return: A choice may remain useful with the mechanism unresolved. Reopen when the population, observing procedure, performing constraint or decision changes. Use a suitable field method for cultural claims outside music and dance.
