STR.16:5.2 - Calculate both support arrangements
Four disjoint, qualified resource pools have the following stipulated eight-week availability. The pools do not double-count people; where the same person filled several roles, a person-specific account would replace these totals.
| Resource | Supplied usable hours | Current commitments | Protected reserve | Available for this development |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Methodologists | 160 | 80 | 16 | 64 |
| Facilitators | 200 | 96 | 24 | 80 |
| AI engineers | 144 | 64 | 16 | 64 |
| Researchers | 160 | 48 | 16 | 96 |
Reserve has a supplied operating justification and cannot be allocated by this construction. AI-engineer hours include the context, integration, checking and repair work needed by these particular operations; computation payments are accounted for separately. The researchers are a distinct pool, but the research still consumes some methodologist and AI-engineer time.
The following is the estimated work common to both candidates. It includes the direct undertaking work, its specific preparation and evaluation; it excludes the alternative support packages in the next table.
| Common undertaking work | Methodologist hours | Facilitator hours | AI-engineer hours | Researcher hours |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mathematical inquiry | 4 | 0 | 4 | 48 |
| Inquiry into methods | 4 | 0 | 4 | 32 |
| Residency construction and bounded use | 8 | 16 | 6 | 0 |
| Corporate-offer construction | 10 | 12 | 10 | 0 |
| Facilitator development and subsequent preparation-method revision | 4 | 16 | 4 | 0 |
| Public contribution and its usable return | 0 | 6 | 2 | 0 |
| Common demand | 30 | 50 | 30 | 80 |
Arrangement A: common enabling contribution. One designated methodologist maintains the shared construction; the AI engineers supply its reusable operations. Branch owners retain adaptation and receiving acceptance.
Arrangement B: provision within branches. Each branch constructs its adequate explanation and AI support. A small common exchange maintains source returns and identifies reusable changes; it imposes no common release dependency.
| Additional work in each alternative | Methodologist hours | Facilitator hours | AI-engineer hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| A: build and maintain common contribution | 16 | 8 | 16 |
| A: residency and corporate adaptations | 4 | 10 | 8 |
| A: joint coordination and change return | 4 | 2 | 2 |
| A: total with common undertaking work | 54 | 70 | 56 |
| B: residency-specific support | 8 | 6 | 12 |
| B: corporate-specific support | 10 | 8 | 14 |
| B: bounded exchange between branches | 2 | 2 | 2 |
| B: total with common undertaking work | 50 | 66 | 58 |
Both require 80 researcher hours. Neither consumes the protected reserve. Compared with B, A requires four additional methodologist hours and four facilitator hours while saving two AI-engineer hours. It is not a no-worsening improvement. Its stipulated extra contribution is a maintained common method account with qualified returns for both applications; B supplies adequate separate accounts with fewer common-change obligations.
A count of product revenue does not choose between them. The owners can choose the extra reusable contribution and its burden, or decide that its present value is insufficient. They must not claim that future scale automatically repays the difference.
The stipulated additional payments are 2,400 currency units for A and 1,800 for B, both due before any new sales. Existing funding covers the salaried resource arrangements, current obligations and reserve; 6,000 units of unrestricted cash are available for these additional payments. This establishes affordability within the example’s supplied terms, not profit, valuation or a forecast of sales. Expected revenues are not used to fund the start.
