B.5.QD.CF:4.6 - Separate recognition from assurance
An asserted conflict and a premise worth examining can be enough to start. Recognition does not require an exhaustive diagnosis or a proof that a repair exists.
Judge each resulting claim by what it says. An implication needs valid reasoning under its premises. A replacement operation needs the mathematical, physical or professional basis appropriate to its intended use. A requirement change needs the decision that permits it. The method supplies a way to find and formulate these questions; their answers come from the corresponding subject methods.
Reopen the result when a retained requirement, affected premise, available operation or intended use changes. Preserve independently usable parts while revising the affected inference.
