C.39:5.4 - Obtain a usable way from a source discussion
Start with the receiving work. An author receives a discussion about taking the consequences of reasoning seriously in action. The needed result is an explainable way to examine a proposal and decide how to continue. The author starts with what the discussion makes possible, then follows the proposed action to its requirements. This example adapts the first section of A. Levenchuk’s historical discussion Method Council, 19 October 2022 («Методсовет ШСМ 19 октября 2022»), keeping its constructive proposal and the added receiving conditions distinguishable.
Recover the positive construction. The source describes a person proposing an unusual action, exposing it to reasoned objections, answering an objection or changing the proposal, and then acting when no further objection is found in the discussion. It also distinguishes deciding what is to be learned from designing how to teach it. Merely extracting the words “logic”, “criticism” and “action” would lose the revisable proposal and the connection to a next move. Treating the anecdotes as proof of a universally successful method would add support they do not supply.
The receiving author follows the proposed way on the present material: what would the next practitioner actually receive? The source supplies proposing, criticizing and revising. The instruction to proceed still needs the receiving action’s applicable requirements and grounds. The fact that no participant produced another objection does not establish a missing prerequisite. Following the receiving use exposes the question: what further grounds would justify this action?
Construct the missing connection. Keep the proposal and reasons for revising it. Name the result wanted from the proposed action and recover the conditions on which its usefulness depends. Connect each consequential claim to the actual grounds on which this use can rely through A.10. Obtain a separate assurance answer through B.3 only when that stronger claim is required. A critique can refute one reason, suggest an adaptation, or reveal an unanswered question; determine which it does before accepting or discarding the proposal.
When complete-enough alternatives are available, C.11 compares them on the same basis. An available next inquiry is worth doing when its attainable answer could change that choice and warrants its burden. Otherwise choose under the adequate current basis or retain the precise unresolved condition. An absence of unlimited certainty does not demand unlimited inquiry. An absent indispensable condition does not become satisfied because inquiry is costly.
Return a usable instruction. For this use the author can now say: state the proposed result and action; expose the reasons that matter; examine substantive objections and revise the affected proposal or reason; establish the receiving action’s necessary conditions; compare the available continuations; return the selected continuation with its grounds and the condition that would change it. A sufficiently qualified existing proposal can go directly to use. If the useful result is only a proposal worth testing, keep that narrower conclusion rather than claim completed performance.
Apply the instruction to a receiving proposal. Use the studio proposal in section 5.3: prepare one recording by subtracting a constant correction, then use it for movement analysis and demonstration viewing. Recover the two required results and their 3 ms and 8 ms tolerances. The independently supplied interval bound and qualified editing operation support a worst residual of 2.5 ms after the 42.5 ms correction. These are the grounds for using that preparation under the two stated requirements. If the interval basis is unavailable, the same three marker readings justify only their local residuals; the next useful inquiry concerns the interval, and “nobody objected” cannot fill it. This applies the source-inspired proposal–criticism–revision connection while the established mathematical and professional suppliers provide the receiving grounds.
The author has constructed an instruction and shown its conditional application. This does not show that a person has learned the method, that the recording was actually prepared, or that every proposal needs a formal assurance case. A content review asks whether the source contribution and added connection are faithfully and sufficiently explained; a claim of benefit in another practice needs its own evidence.
Change one receiving condition. Tighten movement analysis to 2 ms as in section 5.3. The 2.5 ms bound remains correct, but it no longer supports that use; the 5 ms span of the marker offsets rules out meeting 2 ms with any constant correction. Reopen the analysis proposal and develop another warranted preparation or return the unmet requirement. Viewing at 8 ms remains qualified under its unchanged conditions. The proposal–criticism–revision Method also remains available for examining the replacement. If a changed calibration instead undermined the shared interval bound, reconsider both receiving uses that relied on it. Independence follows from the actual dependency, not from the uses having different names.
