C.40.CU:4.6 - Make the use reproducible for another performer or occasion
Recover what made the successful enactment possible: preparation, inputs, operative steps, supporting artifacts or people, recognition conditions, acceptance basis and stops. Preserve the needed intermediate meanings, not just the final output.
Decide which contributions the receiver must perform and which can remain obtainable from elsewhere. Restore access or activation when that is sufficient; develop capability when the receiver cannot perform a necessary operation. E.23.CAE distinguishes those gaps under grounded capability claims, E.23.CDI develops the named capability, and C.36.RP arranges acquisition, provision and continuing access.
Use a receiving attempt that can reveal the uncertain transfer. A person who copied a demonstration may still be unable to adapt its critical step. Ask the receiver to use the method under the changed condition that matters, with the support the intended arrangement actually permits. If the helper supplied the decision, the supported configuration’s success remains useful, but does not establish the receiver’s independent capability.
For shared terms, test a consequential action on the common object. Ask participants to classify or act on the same borderline case, state what they expect to happen, and inspect the difference. Repair the operative distinction or action when identical words hide different uses. Agreement in wording alone does not establish common understanding.
Retain an obtainable explanation, executable material or demonstration suited to that receiver. A complete account does not require every participant to internalize every constituent operation. It does require the arrangement to supply them when they are needed.
