CB.10:4.6 - Change the condition that the inquiry exposes
Turn the account into a proposed action with a responsible receiver. A person who cannot find the first task may need a clearer entry through CB.3. A useful discussion that never reaches its intended work may need a recipient or application opportunity through CB.5. Missing time or access returns to CB.9; an inadequate practice returns to CB.14 or its actual method supplier.
Compare a change with a credible alternative, including retaining the current arrangement. Ask what useful result should appear, what burden it adds and what would make the change unsuitable. Provide the permissions, people and resources before treating the proposal as a commitment.
Try the change at the scale appropriate to the decision. Observe the particular use that prompted it and a consequential contrasting use when that distinction is still unresolved. Record what was changed and what actually happened; a simultaneous change elsewhere may prevent attributing a later difference to this one.
If the inquiry exposes a different purpose, return to CB.1 with the affected participants. If the arrangement no longer merits or can obtain support, CB.11 develops continuation, transfer, separation or ending. A decline in activity by itself does not choose among those responses.
