Positive stories are easier to elicit when the collector controls access, funding or recognition. Departed people, quiet users and unsuccessful applicants may remain invisible. Give criticism an appropriate receiving route, preserve nonresponse as a limit and seek a relevant contrary case. A numerical indicator can also favour what is easy to record; inspect whose work and experience its definition excludes.
