CB.11:5 - Archetypal Grounding

CB.11:5.1 - A departing founder and a closing platform

In a constructed volunteer repair circle, the founder will stop organising in two months and end the privately funded discussion platform. Participants still value a monthly case exchange and the public guide to preparing a useful case request. Some only use the guide and do not want to join another discussion service.

The group compares retaining two monthly meetings through paid coordination, reducing to one meeting with two willing organisers, and ending meetings while keeping the guide. The paid option lacks confirmed funding. Two members can provide the reduced schedule, and a local workshop offers an authorised room booking. Members choose that continuation through their existing decision arrangement, accepting the loss of the second monthly meeting.

The new organisers receive the booking route, the preparation method and access to a qualified facilitator. The founder agrees two handover sessions and no continuing response duty afterward. A willing maintainer accepts the public guide under its existing reuse terms and obtains hosting that will remain available after the old platform closes. Private case discussions remain with their permitted recipients; members receive an invitation to choose the new contact route.

In the first preparation attempt, the new organiser cannot obtain the room key at the required time. The workshop owner provides an actual keyholder arrangement. The organiser then prepares and runs the first reduced meeting with the facilitator, returns the discussed actions and confirms the next booking. An independent reader retrieves the transferred guide and includes the observations and prior actions in a case request. The receiving practitioner can identify the next inquiry. The reader also reaches the maintainer about a missing reference, and the maintainer corrects it.

The founder settles the old platform’s remaining payment and returns borrowed equipment through their owners. An unfinished participant complaint retains its agreed receiver and response date, with a contact that remains reachable after closure. Before the platform closes, its entry page and a notice to participants give the ending date, the guide’s independent address and the optional new group’s contact route.

The result is a smaller activity with working support and continued access to the guide. It does not show that every former member moved or that the relationships will persist indefinitely. The new organisers review the next two meetings against their available time.

CB.11:5.2 - Separate purposes with a remaining shared resource

A music group contains people who want informal playing and others preparing public performances. Repeated attempts to combine both in one session leave each dissatisfied. The members choose two independently organised sessions rather than treating one preference as a failure of commitment.

Both groups obtain capable hosts and times. They still use a shared set of instruments, so the owners and authorised users agree regular slots, responsibility for returning the set and priority to the first confirmed booking for additional dates. The informal group uses its first session to help two newcomers join familiar pieces; the performance group rehearses its agreed concert programme without shortening it for that introduction.

Both later request the set for a Saturday. The informal group’s booking was confirmed first, so the performance group takes an available Sunday slot. Each returns the set in time for the next user. The groups retain their different activities while using the shared resource under an arrangement both accepted.

CB.11:5.3 - End the forum and retain independently usable practice

A professional discussion forum has few new questions, while a qualified guide continues to be used. A bounded CB.10 inquiry finds that several users can perform their intended work from the guide and existing professional help; they do not need regular discussion.

The organiser confirms maintenance and correction support for the guide, settles open forum questions and announces the end of new posts. One later independent user retrieves the guide and obtains a correction through the retained contact. The organised discussion has ended, while that means of using the practice remains available. Independent users continue through the guide and the professional help they can already obtain.

CB.11:5.4 - A pause that does not promise an unavailable service

A seasonal field group cannot obtain the authorised site access needed for its next activity. It pauses field meetings until a named access decision or a stated review date. A willing receiver handles current enquiries and tells participants which alternatives are available.

At the review date, access is still unavailable and no capable host can provide the alternative site. The group ends the field programme for that season, returns the borrowed equipment and leaves permitted guidance accessible. The pause did not become an indefinite promise that nobody could fulfil.

CB.11:5.5 - Ordinary continuation

A reading circle still serves its purpose, its host remains willing, and the room and materials remain available. It continues under the existing terms. A label such as “mature community” supplies no reason to split, professionalise or replace it.
