CB.15:4.5 - Perform the action and inspect what each side receives
Brief the participants on the intended result and conditions, then do the selected work. Allow questions at the points where a decision becomes visible. On a visit, ask the practitioner why a particular move was selected, which alternatives were possible and what would change it.
Give each side a chance to correct the other’s account. A participant may have understood the visible sequence while missing an input supplied elsewhere. Recover that dependency before proposing to use the approach in a new setting.
Inspect the receiving result. Can the next person act on the referral? Did the consultation answer the question? Can the visitor explain the observed practice and identify what their own situation lacks? Ask what remains uncertain and what additional work would resolve it.
Do not turn one observation into an unearned competence or effectiveness conclusion. A visitor may understand a practice without being able to perform it. HCD can supply the needed preparation, while ME can qualify a method’s fit or transfer. Keep that further result separate from the successful visit.
When the action fails, return the failure to the relevant part of the arrangement. Repair an unclear request, obtain a missing decision or stop the unworkable promise. Use CB.8 if conduct prevents the exchange; a legitimate difference in professional judgement belongs to the subject question.
