CB.1:10 - Rationale
A useful contribution connects a person’s situation to an obtainable result. Starting from that connection makes the form of association a design choice. Starting from a forum or membership label makes it difficult to notice when the required contribution is instruction, access or professional service.
Comparison also protects legitimate variation. A community for shared company and one for technical help need different criteria; neither needs to imitate a commercial support programme. Separating participant, cultural and sponsor results permits a reasoned combination without assuming that all interests coincide.
