CB.1:4.6 - Choose the next action and a return condition

Continue when the contribution is sufficiently worthwhile and feasible for the bounded action being proposed. For mutual help, pass CB.2 the receiving situation, first useful result, willing participants or recruitment question, material and access limits, and available organising effort. For independent learning, pass the target work and provision conditions to the selected HCD use.

Stop or change the proposal when an existing alternative answers the situation better, a necessary contribution cannot be obtained, or the apparent common purpose hides a material unresolved conflict. An unanswered question can itself be the next useful result: who can provide the required access, whether the intended recipient values the proposed result, or whether any capable person wishes to help.

Reopen the smallest affected choice when later responses change the population, desired result, available competence, burden or terms of participation. One failed invitation does not require rethinking the whole cultural purpose; repeated inability to obtain the central contribution may.
