CB.4:4.6 - Connect the result to use and continuation

Before closing, ask what the activity supplied and who needs it next. The result may be a case owner’s next step, a set of contrasting interpretations, an introduction, a material revision or a valued shared experience. Preserve an unresolved question where its deciding condition is still absent.

Return enough context for the next use. Include the question, relevant conditions, remaining disagreement or uncertainty, and the person who has accepted the next action where one is needed. Obtain agreement before sharing attributable or sensitive material. A private experience can remain private when no further record serves its purpose.

If the activity recurs, choose its rhythm from demand, participants’ availability and organising capacity. Keep a familiar entry when it helps, but change the content or support that no longer serves the work. Predictability need not mean daily activity, a universal meeting length or a calendar filled at every frequency.

Observe the next use when the claim depends on it. A meeting can establish that participants compared alternatives; later application needs a later observation. Reopen the affected design when people cannot enter, contributions are lost, answers cannot be recovered, burdens exceed capacity or the purpose changes. Use CB.1 if another route now supplies the result more directly.
