Renew the affected contribution

Begin with the changed fact and the use it can defeat. A failed invitation may concern access or wording; repeated inability to obtain qualified help may defeat the offer itself. A disputed incident may require correction of one response, a changed rule or a renewed mandate. New evidence about a professional method can invalidate a repertoire entry while leaving the social connection useful.

Return to the smallest affected source, method or arrangement. Check the proposed change through the receiving work and a consequential contrasting condition. Reuse unchanged contributions whose conditions still hold. Obtain the additional evidence required for any stronger causal, professional or population claim. Changes to representation, common commitments or the right to use resources need the relevant people’s decisions as well as a revised description.

For this pattern language, repeated reader failure should reopen the affected explanation, example or practical entry. A change in the promised field or useful pattern division reopens the framework’s organization. A changed source or external method first reopens its particular adopted contribution and dependent CB uses. A broken link first needs a working source return; repairing the link establishes access to text, not the text’s adequacy.

Keep a usable return when changing a published pattern’s title, order or interpretation. CB.1–16 are stable local addresses within the Community Building framework; Part and section positions are publication navigation. Preserve an old address when the practical answer continues. A different answer needs an explicit replacement or migration explanation so that a previous citation does not silently acquire a new meaning.
