Documentation bias is a major risk: what can be written is easier to package than tacit skill, trust, preparation or maintained support. Examine actual receiving work before deciding the carrier.

The original expert can also overstate uniqueness. Try explaining and practising the operation before concluding that only the author can do it. Preserve specialist help when it is the sound obtaining choice.
