DOCA.Preface:5 - Respond to a change without rewriting the past

DOCA.8 starts from the changed premise and the opportunity or service claim that used it. Obtain the smallest affected qualification and preserve independently supported uses.

In its constructed data-permission case, the indexed manual arrangement is already actual, while broad retrieval over classes A and B remains prospective. A new restriction on external use of B retires that broad retrieval direction. An A-only direction is a new conditional candidate: the old whole-workload estimate does not qualify its performance, maintenance or incremental transition. The actual manual arrangement can remain usable within its unchanged permission and support basis.

A service conflict can require a different adviser or referral while an independently produced technical comparison remains qualified. A corrected report can defeat a transfer premise even when the person’s performance history did not change. An inaccessible receiving use remains a coverage gap, and a missed necessary observation supplies no favourable result.

Preserve what was previously returned and distinguish a correction, a later recommendation, the recipient’s actual choice and an implemented change. PSD.14 supplies the affected advice-follow-up contribution. Professional and operational owners retain their actual duties and authority. For an accessible source moved without a relevant meaning or use change, repairing the reference can be enough; this is not an instruction to reconstruct every opportunity.
