DOCA.Preface:6 - Architectural Rationale

Construction and Advising belong together because their users can reuse and join contributions about the same opportunity while needing different entrances and completion results. An adviser can receive a qualified construction result; a self-directed inquiry can use the construction language without establishing a professional engagement. The shared account makes their conditions visible at the point of use.

Using PSD alone is a serious simpler alternative for a recommendation question with adequate inputs. Keep that direct entry. The additional DOCA contribution is the recurring work of constructing worthwhile opportunities and supported directions, qualifying their joint conditions and retaining or reconsidering possibilities. Likewise, an organization arrangement, human development or implementation question already answered by its direct practice needs that result, not a DOCA reconstruction.

The predecessor descriptions preserve useful narrative. Individually addressed patterns additionally let a practitioner find one recurring problem, working move, result and stop without recovering the whole narrative. Putting the explanation only in a Suite Reference would help cross-framework discovery but leave a copied DOCA publication incomplete as an account of its own use.

A further programme or path pattern would add no needed owner here: DOCA.4-DOCA.6 already cover directions, dependencies and retention, while HCD.2 and Learning Product supply programme and Guide contributions. Separating Construction and Advising into different publications may become useful when people need to use, cite or change a branch as a whole and well-linked separate accounts serve those uses better. Different source communities or renewal rhythms can inform that comparison; they are not mandatory prerequisites for a useful narrower language.

The present relations are specific. DOCA.1.CHR supplies characterization used in several questions; its suffix is an address, not proof of Method specialization or parthood. A qualified domain result supplies a premise, not the supplying practice’s entire Method. A Part groups publication text; it does not impose an action order. The language supports these independently usable contributions and their qualified combinations without claiming that its nine bodies describe one admitted composite Method.

A useful narrower profile can inherit applicable guidance and explain its changed situation, contribution, conditions and evidence needs. More than one level of narrowing is possible, and a contribution can serve several profiles. State whether the actual relation is bounded-use projection, specialization, composition, reuse or result dependence. A mathematical view needs its own selected elements and relation; overlapping membership alone supplies neither an order nor the bounds required for a lattice.
