EAM.3:2 - Problem

A station code, serial unit, design variant and configuration description can share a convenient name while denoting different things. Combining them can attach an old condition account to new equipment or price a modification of a configuration that is not installed. Requiring a complete database before any choice creates the opposite problem: useful work waits for irrelevant information.
