EAM.Preface:6 - Current sources and what they support

The GFMAM Asset Management Landscape, third edition (2024), and IAM’s Asset Management — an Anatomy, version 4 (2024), locate this work within broad professional asset-management practice. This framework turns selected concerns into explicit practitioner operations and examples; those publications do not establish the effectiveness of these particular Methods.

Public ISO/TC 251 material locates the management-system relationship. NIST Handbook 135, 2025 edition, supplies dated cost and ending treatment, common horizons and choice under funding constraints. Its federal application conditions are not imported into CityWater. The water-planning guidance supplies the component and critical-period construction adapted in EAM.4; IAM’s recovery treatment informs EAM.6. Corporate Finance supplies the developed cash, ending-valuation and joint-consequence operations used in EAM.8 and EAM.10. Their qualified returns are identified below.

General evidence, comparison, information and cultural distinctions remain with FPF. The references identify the specific contributions and receiving uses. Those source relations support reasoned use and refresh; a cited Method description still needs to yield a qualified result for an actual asset case.
