F.13:5 - Minimal vocabulary (this pattern only)

  • Legacy label — an earlier expression retained with its exact local meaning and use, or an earlier external label of an identified value, cell, description or row.
  • Preferred label — the current label selected for that naming use under F.5 and, when a durable settlement is needed, F.18.
  • Alias (local to a naming use) — a read-path from a legacy expression to the preferred one with the same effective scheme, local-sense claim and use, and the same governed value when one is being named. Writing uses the preferred label.
  • Continuity relation — one of the descriptive relations below over exact label uses. It records a justified wording or historical-reading decision; it does not establish governed-object, cell, episteme or Bridge identity.
  • Epoch note — an informative time marker attached to a legacy label when needed to interpret older text.
