FDM.5:5 - Archetypal Grounding

A scoring team supplies a lender with a score about a proposed borrower. The score’s meaning and validation conditions are given by its method. In the constructed loan, the lender considers advancing 100 with 105 contractually due on day 30.

First locate the receiving decision arrangement. Suppose it uses an established rule under which both the earlier and new score lead to the same decision and terms. Improved score accuracy alone does not establish a changed financial outcome in this case. The team can still investigate another useful effect, such as a reduction in warranted information-gathering effort, without attributing an unobserved lending gain to the score.

In another case, the adequately authorized arrangement uses the score to change a decision under its applicable method. FDM.4 establishes what the decision, formation and funding actually change. Successful funding makes the stipulated proceeds usable by the borrower and establishes the funded positions under the supplied terms.

The borrower intends to acquire equipment. If the equipment is delivered and usable, that can supply the next intended condition. If delivery fails, the loan’s financial effect and the failed equipment result remain distinguishable. The service account explains where the connection broke. Whether the financed work later earns the hoped-for return requires its own business evidence.

The same construction applies to a client-admission service. An information supplier provides facts; the applicable arrangement grants or refuses access; actual service provision follows under its conditions. More admitted clients is not by itself an adequate objective. Legitimate refusal, the client’s intended use and the provider’s obligations can make a different result preferable.
