Prevention can begin with changed hours, staffing, pace, exposure or a credible concern while every production target is met. HRM.1 obtains the qualified protection result and connects it to operating and organizational choices. HRM.5 turns person-specific functional conditions into an attainable arrangement. These receiving operations do not replace the professional risk assessment or clinical work that supports them.
Severe exhaustion or an inability to carry out ordinary activity is a reason to facilitate qualified medical assessment and apply the relevant immediate support and absence arrangements. It is not evidence of poor motivation. Do not make falling output, an employee’s diagnostic label or completion of a leadership course a condition for taking the difficulty seriously. The phrase “adrenal fatigue” is not an established medical diagnosis; actual adrenal insufficiency is a different condition requiring clinical diagnosis and treatment. The personnel response should follow the person’s functional difficulty and qualified advice, rather than choose a cause or universal rest prescription. Endocrine Society: adrenal fatigue, adrenal insufficiency.
Rest, leave, altered hours, workload limits or other adjustments can be part of a warranted arrangement. Their content and duration depend on the applicable grounds. Psychological help may be appropriate; it does not replace a needed medical inquiry into causes. Clinical information remains with its appropriate holder. A work owner generally needs the permitted functional conditions, provision and review point, not unrestricted access to a diagnosis or a personal assistant’s conversations.
