IS.1:1 - Problem frame

Use this when someone requests implementation help, offers a service or sponsors a change, but the participants do not yet share a workable account of what that help must make possible. Also use it when a previously sensible agreement no longer fits the target, recipient, provider or available means.

The first move is to ask for one receiving use: what should someone be able to do, on what occasion, and what contribution is missing now? Compare that use with the help being offered. A request for a course may concern learning, unavailable time, inaccessible material or a target that does not fit the work. A workshop is one possible contribution, not the purpose of every request.

The governed subject is the support undertaking: the bounded work and commitments through which help is provided. A note, conversation or service specification can describe it. The description is not itself the agreed commitment, permission or performed work.

Use an adequate existing agreement directly. A routine request covered by a current service can end with its usable response. A legal contract, employment decision or professional authorization still needs its own qualified process; this Method does not create those powers.
