IS.1:4.1 - Recover the request through the receiving work

Ask the person requesting help to show a recent case or describe the next intended use. Recover the input, action, receiver and consequence. “Improve evidence practice” becomes more useful when it means “the reviewer can find which source edition supports this claim before recommending release”.

Ask the intended performer what they currently do and where the proposed contribution would enter. Ask the receiver what makes the returned result useful or unusable. In a small self-directed use these can be the same person; do not invent separate roles merely to fill positions.

Compare the accounts. A sponsor’s requested training can be retained when the missing contribution is learning. If the performer already knows what to do but cannot access the source, the immediate undertaking can instead repair access. If the supposed benefit is disputed, obtain the legitimate target decision or open a bounded inquiry through IS.2. Do not conceal that disagreement in a broad service label.

Keep only the detail that can change the first work or its promised result. A complete map of every stakeholder is unnecessary when the receiving use and applicable rights are already clear.
