IS.7:4.2 - Explain the interaction that changes the next action

Follow the episode through the proposed practice, its participants and its setting. Locate the dependence: an action requires a kind of input, judgement, cooperation, protection, permission or provision that is not actually obtainable. Examine local work, the containing organization and external conditions only where their contribution could change the response. A local roster, organizational incentive and external eligibility rule are different conditions with different owners.

Use FPF C.40.JD for the complete general construction of changing the way, its holder and its provision together. The facilitation-specific question is how the particular intervention’s warranted function, recipient experience and service conditions fit that construction. State the live rival explanations before selecting an adaptation. For example, non-use may reflect an unavailable occasion, a burdensome operation, a justified rejection or a help strategy that failed to deliver its contribution. A.3.1.MI:4.5 supplies the delivery–mechanism–context comparison and the observation needed to distinguish them.
