LDR.1:4.2 - Select a capable arrangement and retain an adequate one
Choose the conversation or practical assistance by the needed result. A short brief can connect familiar contributions before work. A huddle can adjust a shared plan after a change. A role conversation can clarify a participant’s responsibility and help. A debrief can examine a completed episode. A disputed whole arrangement needs LDR.2; an unanswered substantive question needs B.5.SD; a proposal not yet connected to its first use needs LDR.4.
Identify the actual contributions required to perform the selected method. Facilitation, subject expertise, decision authority, resource allocation, coaching and peer help can come from different providers. One person may supply several when capable and authorized. Select willing, capable participants with time and access for this occasion. A job title, an available calendar slot or general fluency is insufficient evidence of a difficult professional contribution.
Compare the available arrangements against the same result and period. Begin with competent ordinary coordination, including its existing assistance and follow-through. Compare an additional helper, another provider, supported development, autonomous qualified AI or a changed scope only when the alternatives matter. Include preparation, participants’ consultation, representation, inquiry, allocation, execution, continuing help, checking, waiting and displaced work. Include overlaps: do not allocate the same time twice to contributions that require the mentor’s separate attention. Qualify any combined or concurrent performance under the performer’s actual capacity and the required guarantees.
Suppose competent current help supplies all three discussions required in six weeks. That arrangement is sufficient if those are the only required results. Preparing a second facilitator may be justified by future volunteer rotation, but it adds provider preparation, practice, feedback and later observation. If the expert remains reserved as fallback, credit no saved expert availability. Decide whether the additional continuation evidence is worth the added burden; retain competent help if not.
C.11.DUA supplies the appraisal of an additional inquiry or optional change. Ask what a plausible answer would change before commissioning another assessment. When present evidence already supports the next contribution, perform it. When no feasible competent arrangement exists, narrow, defer or decline the unsupported work; do not turn a hopeful development plan into present capacity.
