MA.7:10 - Architectural Rationale

Comparison, decomposition and explanation are separated because each can fail independently. An account can be comparable yet poorly decomposed, or perfectly decomposed yet causally misunderstood.

A routine variance report is sufficient when its definitions and explanations remain adequate. A deeper resource model or inquiry is justified when a plausible alternative would change the response.
