MDPE.16:3.2 - Form actual alternatives for the same question

For each candidate, name the bearer or proposed arrangement and its actual kind. Then state how it answers the bounded question differently.

A score, dancer, robot, recording, Method, event format, and cultural label do not become alternatives merely because they appear in one table. They can be participants, descriptions, evidence, or components of different development branches. If they do not answer the same question under a stated alternative relation, split the set.

Seek alternatives that fail differently. Include, when useful:

  • a locally reliable branch and a more distant exploratory branch;
  • low- and high-fidelity variants rather than only a middling compromise;
  • variants for different bodies, partners, instruments, venues, media, or receiving uses;
  • a source-preserving branch and a deliberately transformed branch;
  • human, robotic, AI, ensemble, equipped-human, or hybrid performance arrangements under their own capabilities; and
  • a no-change branch when every intervention moves a worse burden.
