MDPE.20:2 - Forces

ForceTension to preserve
Action and uncertaintyA project needs a next move while several futures remain serious.
Domain detail and overfittingPerformer, partner, scene, rhythm, body, instrument, platform, and teaching detail can change the forecast; one local case must not become a universal law.
Structural regularity and mechanismA useful representation can expose a regularity without explaining how practice changes.
Individual change and population changeRetrieval, learning, preference, or reproduction by one Agent can contribute to but does not establish a scene trajectory.
Deliberate development and distributed cultureA team can change a school, event, tool, or publication; wider recognition and retention remain distributed.
Prediction and reflexivityPublishing or teaching a forecast can change the practice being forecast, but not every forecast has a material effect.
Informative probes and participant burdenBetter discrimination can require performers, partners, teachers, audiences, venues, or communities whose time, consent, and risk matter.
Open alternatives and usable decisionsDrift and no-attractor cases must remain possible without turning the result into an endless list.
