MDPE.23:2.2 - Ground the distinction and expose cue leakage

Use MDPE.12 or a direct observation Method to identify the actual characteristic or relation and the indications that make it accessible. Separate:

  • the world-side rhythmic, acoustic, movement, contact, spatial, or interaction difference;
  • its representation in notation, syllables, audio features, video, geometry, labels, or examples;
  • cues legitimately available in later Work; and
  • accidental cues present only in teaching or the dataset.

If competent observers cannot agree under a suitable task, inspect the distinction before training novices. The right result can be a narrower category, a changed representation, a different signal, two separate distinctions, or abandonment of the proposed distinction.
