MDPE.Preface:11 - Practical judgement, bias, and what changes next

The language gives a practitioner a way to locate the missing contribution and stop at a useful result. Its price is attention to conditions and interfaces: someone must obtain the relevant performer or receiver observations, reconcile specialist results, and keep any selected alternative reproducible. For one settled performance, using the full style-development combination would add effort without answering another live question. For a continuing practice, omitting teaching, recognition, or support can make an attractive local result disappear at the next occurrence.

The following questions apply to the complete chosen use. Reuse an existing answer when its subject and conditions still match; give a new answer for the changed part of a profile.

  • What exactly must become possible, for which performers or receivers, and under which conditions? The brief and the selected Methods must concern that same use.
  • Does each needed contribution have an available result, or is it still proposed? Identify the missing capability, configuration, receiving observation, or support that prevents the next action.
  • Can the whole combination meet the shared resource and interaction conditions above? Protect the trial that distinguishes the consequential alternatives when narrowing the work.
  • Which observation answers the decision, whose competence makes the judgement usable, and what do its representation and population leave out? Separate local observation, causal contribution, transmission, and later continuation whenever the conclusion depends on those differences.
  • Who can make the chosen change, and whose performance, participation, or recurring work will it affect? Use the actual decision and participation arrangements, including applicable refusal or revision, for the case.
  • What is the first useful result, the next action or stop, and the changed condition that would make the conclusion worth reopening?

The source set gives particular visibility to named projects, published research, well-documented teaching lines, and technical interventions. Quiet social practice, oral or embodied knowledge, poorly archived variants, and participants absent from the observed population may be harder to recover. Camera-readable movement, measurable timing, platform visibility, or an expert’s preferred technique can then become a misleading proxy for the receiving use. Keep the affected participants’ experience and the intended working task in the comparison. The detailed correction belongs in MDPE.12, MDPE.13, or MDPE.18 according to the result at issue.

Transfer also depends on the production resources, learner, and performing configuration. Results from NDT, human motor learning, or one robot retain those conditions when another profile uses them. The published Algorave guidance and TOCA teaching material can support a brief or lesson design while leaving a local investment Method, actual costs and capacity, or a community-recognition result to be obtained. Where one of those inputs is decisive, identify it and the use it blocks. Available creation, teaching, or observation contributions remain usable for the questions they answer.

Keep the architecture responsive to what changed. A new instrument or model may first require a configuration and performance trial; a changed teaching Method may require transfer evidence; an altered selection rule may require returning to the variants and capabilities it rewards. A changed receiving population or support capacity can reopen the whole combination even if its individual Methods remain useful elsewhere. Revise the framework boundary only when the evidence changes the recurring problem, the shared specialization, or a material result relation. Source use and currentness gives the common refresh rule; each selected pattern supplies its local return.
