MDPE.Preface:4 - Project Work and cultural change

A composition session, improvisation, rehearsal, lesson, tanda, concert, social party, recording, release, festival, competition, archive reconstruction, or platform experiment is bounded Work. It may generate or enact a Method variant, expose consequences, and influence later selection. Music or Dance culture continues across many such Work occurrences, Agents, carriers, organizations, places, and periods. One project can influence that culture. Its bounded result is distinct from the culture as a whole and does not by itself establish retention across the population.

This distinction lets a practitioner stop early. Most uses end with a project result: a project brief, candidate set, demonstrated capability, performed Work occurrence, comparison, receiving-use decision, tested support-environment change decision, local practice-change result, or trajectory decision. Open continuation or cultural-development patterns only when the decision concerns reproduction across receivers, occasions, or a practitioner population.
