ME.14:8 - Common Anti-Patterns and How to Avoid Them

Anti-patternRepair
“It passed verification, so keep it.”Compare receiving results and current alternatives; coherence is only one input.
“Users preferred it, so it is worth adopting.”Preserve immediate self-report, alternative set, long-term gaps, and decision boundary.
“The weighted score selected a winner.”Expose characteristics, weights or order assumptions, incomparability, and non-compensable stops.
“The candidate has no evidence, so the incumbent wins.”Preserve the evidence asymmetry and retained alternatives. Return the supported present action or limitation; select a reversible probe when its attainable contribution warrants it.
“SYSE.15 must adopt the ME.14 winner.”Transfer only bounded XRI-14 evidence; the receiving repertoire decision remains with SYSE.15.
