ME.24:11 - SoTA-Echoing

Riehle, Harutyunyan and Barcomb’s pattern-discovery and validation work uses established research Methods rather than treating the “rule of three” as sufficient validation. Adopt the need for explicit evidence and discriminating cases; source reconstruction is only one bounded check, not a substitute for their empirical programme or for domain trials.

Current F.0.2 and ME.21 preserve source meanings and allocation, while ME.12/ME.15 and G.11 retain their correction and refresh results. Compared with a chapter-to-pattern map, the H/L case exposes a missing qualification condition that changes the review decision. Compared with a full reread, the A1/A2/A3 case retains L’s condition and W’s unresolved account while returning the one unavailable recheck.

These examples justify the useful form of the result, not a general claim of faster maintenance. Reopen when a lost dependency defeats localization, a source promise changes, a direct correction makes reconstruction unnecessary, or observed maintenance burden outweighs its benefit.
