FPF dependency and compatibility
Depended-on state. This edition selects First Principles Framework (FPF) — Core Conceptual Specification, Version September 2026, status Normative kernel, eternal alpha, at the current-pattern state of 2026-09-05, with the bounded dependencies stated below. The exact depended-on units are the FPF PatternIDs cited in this edition’s Table of Contents dependencies and in each pattern’s SoTA and Relations sections. Read Current FPF in each imported body as this selected dependency basis, including those bounded dependencies, not an instruction to substitute whichever revision is newest when the reader opens it.
Direct uses. The dependency supplies transdisciplinary Method and episteme identities; use-bounded representation selection and co-use; direct relation and selected-structure governors; evidence and causal-use boundaries; Work, WorkPlan, performer, capability, permission, publication, comparison, selection, currentness, and cultural-continuation results. Each ME pattern names the exact subset it consumes. C.37 retains authority over one receiver/action claim groups, their direct-result, reliance, receiving-result, exposure/loss, disposition, and return positions. ME.9 retains only the MethodDescription or candidate-account profile that relates those complete rows across Method uses; ME.10 retains only the Method-material task-set and support-configuration specialization. Common episteme, view, mathematical-lens, publication, structure, collection, and representation-use results remain with their FPF governors.
Compatibility and migration. This Method Engineering edition remains an account bound to the stated FPF state. A later compatible FPF change leaves unaffected ME results reusable. A changed relied-on Solution, predicate, kind, relation, or result form reopens only the consuming ME pattern and this dependency relation; migrate that dependency explicitly and issue a revised edition or migration account before claiming compatibility. Until that explicit revision, the stated dependency remains in force.
Bounded dependency migration — ME.2 currentness. For ME.2’s G.11 use, this edition selects the currentness result in FPF’s September 2026 use-specific assurance and currentness edition, FPF@2026-09-07-EA03-ASSURANCE-CURRENTNESS. It replaces the 2026-09-05 G.11 basis only for ME.2’s repertoire-currentness question: continued applicability can be sufficient without refresh Work or a waiver; changed relied-on premises reopen the affected use, and actual evidence, permission and qualification windows remain binding. The repository is the discovery route to that supplying edition and G.11, not permission to substitute a later revision. ME.2’s G.2/G.5 uses, C.37 and all other unaffected FPF dependencies retain the basis stated above. FPF remains external. Reopen this dependency only when the supplied G.11 result or ME.2’s receiving claim, conditions or use changes.
Bounded dependency — description structure in ME.22/.23. These two methods select C.2.8 U.ExtractableStructuralInformation from the September 2026 FPF publication of 9 September 2026 when the comparison concerns selected structure a reader can extract from a method account or pattern-language explanation. C.2.8 governs the expressed episteme, expressing publication form and reader or observer, qualified by the comparison conditions and its own scale. ME.22 retains the smallest content/form contrasts and actual evidence; ME.23 retains the direct-description or smaller-language alternative. Extraction effort, receiving usefulness and Method effectiveness remain separate questions. Other dependencies retain their stated basis. Reopen this bounded dependency when the supplied characteristic or its receiving comparison changes.
Mathematical-method contributions in ME.6.MC and ME.25. These two additions select this FPF source edition (another source edition) for their FPF dependencies. C.29 and its refinements supply mathematical correspondence, transfer, computational formulation and realization; C.11.DUA appraises attainable further inquiry; C.11/C.11.CRC, C.18 and E.22/E.23 supply choice, contribution comparison, retained alternatives and improvement. Unaffected ME bodies retain the earlier dependency selections. MATH.17/.18 supply operations on operations and their interpretations, and CMP.14 supplies interacting computations, through the linked Foundational Thinking publications. Their mathematical results remain conditional on the model’s correspondence to the work. A change to an operation or condition on which the comparison or transformation relies reopens that use; it does not reopen unaffected Method Engineering results.
Bounded dependency — constituent enactment and replacement. The Preface, ME.6 and ME.23 additionally select B.1.5.EW — Recover How Constituent Actions Enact Encompassing Work and B.1.5.RS — Replace a Constituent Method in Its Encompassing Uses from the September 2026 multilevel-methods edition of FPF Core, selected FPF-Spec.md SHA-256 7e5396dc56427e3ae25f1ae0aa79477caa5e93539712dfbf0c65a50537038e54. B.1.5.EW supplies the recovery of constituent and encompassing work at a selected moment, including the conditions under which the constituent can be performed. B.1.5.RS compares whether a proposed constituent replacement preserves what each encompassing use requires. Other FPF selections above remain unchanged.
Authority direction. FPF does not depend on this DPF for the validity of its transdisciplinary results. A transdisciplinary discovery returns to FPF for its own architecture, review, and edition decision; Method Engineering keeps only the specialist remainder. Domain DPF results remain optional specialist returns with their producer’s scope, evidence, authority, and stop.
