Pattern selection and result relations
| Working question | Start or continue with | First returned result | Main return or continuation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Which organization and contribution are being changed? | OCE.1 | Bounded organization-change focus | OCE.2, OCE.3, or the direct owner of a non-OCE question |
| What Work and relations obtain now? | OCE.2 | Grounded current organization account | OCE.3 or the exact missing evidence/relation owner |
| Which materially different organization concepts deserve comparison? | OCE.3 | Status-preserving concept set and decision | OCE.4, conditional OCE.5, OCE.7, or OCE.8 |
| Which contribution paths and specialization boundaries should guide design? | OCE.4 | Contribution-architecture decision and possible-future description, including relation specifications | OCE.5, OCE.7, OCE.9 for realization, or the owner of the needed relation |
| Does a stable institutional position need to exist? | OCE.5 | Position identity and establishment/continuation result, or direct-arrangement return | OCE.6 or the applicable institutional owner |
| Which assignments and enabling relations obtain? | OCE.6 | Predicate-specific effective relations and exact gaps | OCE.9 for realization, ADM.2, or the relation owner |
| How should product/service and organization architectures constrain each other? | OCE.7 | Separate coordinated decisions across four candidate forms | product/service owner, OCE.9 for realization, or continuing Operations |
| Which complete work arrangement can produce the same bounded result? | OCE.8 | Same-result baseline and whole-candidate comparison, followed by an authorized choice or probe, rejection, or reroute; a preliminary result may be a recommendation | Obtain the needed capability, assignment, provider, safety/domain, or Operations result from its owner. Use OCE.9 to realize missing conditions; dependent trial Work still needs its own authorization. |
| How can the selected organization contribution become usable? | OCE.9 | Bounded capability increment or exact failed/unrealized condition | OCE.6, OCE.10–OCE.12, receiving operation or the direct result owner |
| Which response can repair this participation or working-culture gap? | OCE.10 | Supported response and bounded consequences when performed, or an unresolved competing explanation or gap; no new contrast when the current response is sufficiently supported across rivals | direct relation/learning owner; OCE.9, OCE.11 or OCE.12 where its result is needed |
| How can change and continuing service coexist? | OCE.11 | Authorized overlap, observed service/change consequences and hand-back, or deferral/stop | current ME.6, OPS.5–OPS.7, OCE.8/OCE.16 or the exact service/protection owner |
| Which leadership contribution is missing or dependent on one initiator? | OCE.12 | Performed contribution and tested continuation arrangement, or exact support gap | qualified learning provider, OCE.10/OCE.11, assignment/authority owner or OCE.15 |
| What changed, for whom and under which conditions? | OCE.13 | Qualified consequence comparison with conflicting results, competing explanations and gaps, or an observation plan | OCE.14, OCE.10/OCE.11, or the owner of the needed measurement, evaluation or affected-result judgment |
| Which organization relation should now be retained, repaired, replaced, reversed, stopped or investigated? | OCE.14 | Authorized disposition with effective scope, losses and remaining work; otherwise a proposal or authority request | OCE.6/OCE.9–OCE.12, later OCE.13, and OCE.16 only for an actual cross-change consumer |
| Which organization-change Methods are usable and worth developing? | OCE.15 | Named-use repertoire or domain candidate account | Method Engineering and the exact missing OCE result owner |
| Which other separately managed change uses the organizational condition now being altered? | OCE.16 | Qualified cross-change question, direct exit, or specific missing result; then return of the resolved condition to each affected change | ME.6, C.32.MWA, the applicable OCE/OPS/A.15 Method, or the specialist responsible for the needed decision or result |
| Which OCE practice continues across practitioners and work settings? | OCE.17 | Scoped continuation account, a retained practice variant, permitted intervention, or specific return, with later observation or a named gap | OCE.15/Method Engineering for a reusable-Method problem; applicable HCD or direct opportunity, authority and evidence owners |
Choose the next pattern from the result needed, not from a presumed lifecycle. OCE.13/OCE.14 can use a direct result without repeating a wider evaluation; OCE.17 can support retaining useful practice without a new intervention.
