PSD.1:10 - Rationale

The engagement boundary is the smallest professional decision-support result that can coordinate problem structuring and later analysis without pretending that either has already occurred. Starting from a fixed problem statement is too narrow for contested or revisable framing. Starting from an unlimited situation is too broad to guide a return. Starting from a Method confuses the means with the receiving use.

Generic FPF patterns already govern outside-practice results, evidence, permission, agency, and choice. PSD.1 does not reproduce them. It contributes the field-specific opening that connects a separately governed later decision to a provisional problem-structuring and decision-support boundary, and it tells the practitioner which exact downstream question is now live.
