The practitioner can return a defensible corpus answer while preserving useful differences between sources. Compatible contributions can strengthen an estimate; unlike or dependent contributions can instead change its scope, explanation or limits.

The cost is question-specific appraisal and explicit consequential transformations. Adequate-synthesis reuse and proportionate records reduce work without turning incomplete evidence into a stronger claim.
