SOM.1:4.2 - Relate three accounts
Describe:
- Experience: where a change is felt, its direction and how it develops.
- Regulation: what the performer can deliberately increase, decrease, release or coordinate in those conditions.
- Movement result: the relevant change in contact, position, timing or produced result.
Locate the experienced change by a bodily landmark and direction. Use the resolution the performer can distinguish. Subdivide an experienced region only when the finer distinction changes the attempt. A location in this account does not by itself identify a muscle, tissue or physical cause.
Keep an observer’s report and the performer’s report attributable to their respective observations. If the performer cannot yet express a distinction, comparison, pointing or a demonstrated contrast may make it describable.
Include an involuntary response when its observed effect matters to the movement. Record whether the performer can change it separately from whether they notice it. Use the proposed connection to decide which previously unattended effort to investigate; eliminating all background effort is not the task.
