Refresh the smallest affected use

Reconsider a source-dependent rule when a material later result changes the relevant comparison, transfer, burden or evidence reach. Reconsider a case use when its subject, horizon, assumptions, resources or authority no longer match. Preserve adequate independent results.

G.11 governs currentness and scoped refresh when those are the live questions. A.10.1 governs discovering and revalidating several changed-source uses when that is necessary. STR.13 returns the changed method-worth question; STR.12 returns the changed strategic decision. A corrected reference with unchanged meaning can finish without reopening either.

A current-looking file, intact link or completed rebuild establishes neither source applicability nor a useful strategic conclusion. If a necessary source or qualified result is unavailable, name the affected claim, its limit and the feasible next contribution or stop.
