Resolve the conflict at the relation that failed

One person may design and integrate if the combined work fits their capability, assignment and available time. Under this case’s independent-acceptance rule, that designer cannot also supply the required independent judgement. A senior technician proposed as a replacement test performer must fit the actual test and its admission conditions; seniority alone supplies no substitution basis. FPF E.10.ROLE and A.2.7 help unpack “combined role”: which assignments may share a holder, which require different holders, and how the Methods or work combine. Use these relations instead of treating role labels as parts of the person or project.

Now suppose the returned report concerns configuration C6, preceding the interface repair. The receiver needs applicable evidence for the C7 claim. Another reviewer appointment cannot make that report applicable. Preserve any results whose conditions still fit, and obtain only the missing evidence or justified applicability account.

Participants can also disagree for different reasons. The department head wants an earlier date, a designer objects that the proposed interface violates a required tolerance, and the laboratory manager reports that the needed interval is already committed. Recover the grounds of each statement. The tolerance needs an engineering answer; allocation of laboratory time needs the provider’s decision and a feasible service plan; a proposed change of date needs agreement by the parties whose commitment changes. Ask each receiver what the proposed repair lets them do and what it leaves impossible.

Professional concerns help discover relevant characteristics, but inspect the actual concern. A low quoted test price can coexist with higher total cost after preparation, transport, support and displaced work. Specify which cost and period the comparison uses. Keep a protected technical condition distinct from a preference that the authorized parties can trade. OCE.12 develops the explanation, challenge and negotiation needed to obtain participation in organizational change, including the changes to assignments and support that discussion alone cannot supply.
