Analyze a claim or examine its credibility

Your questionOpenWhat you can obtain
What claim does this material support, and which criticism changes the answer?RMP.5 - Analyze and Criticize the Research Claim under Its MethodA bounded claim with the criticism actually performed and its remaining limits. Reuse adequate analysis; retain a supported result when its stronger interpretation fails. Stop with a sufficient qualified answer.
Which credibility examination could change this claim’s use, and is it worth obtaining?RMP.6 - Choose a Credibility Test That Bears on the Research Claim, or Answer without New TestingAn adequate existing result, a selected relevant examination, a qualified answer without new testing, or the exact missing input that prevents this selection. Select new work only for its worthwhile obtainable contribution; selection is not an observed result.

Enter RMP.5 with an adequate supplied analysis or with inherited material whose origin, Method and limits can be recovered for the present question. Return to RMP.1–RMP.4 only for the particular question, design premise, operational choice or trace that the examination lacks.

For RMP.6, bring the bounded claim, its basis, proposed use and a live threat. Compatible direct inputs need no new RMP.5 run. Match the examination to that threat and compare its attainable contribution with the whole burden of obtaining and interpreting it. Use the relevant domain criteria and obtain any required permission from its responsible authority.

For example, a model reproduces its reported output, but the available comparison does not justify a field maintenance interval. RMP.5 can return the supported computation with the field claim unresolved. In RMP.6, another identical rerun cannot answer that field-use question. An obtainable, worthwhile comparison with suitable field data can justify selecting validation under domain criteria. Otherwise, end the appraisal with the supported computation and the unresolved field-use claim. Test selection supplies no observed result, and the maintenance authority retains the interval decision.

When the needed result is what an evidence corpus jointly warrants, open RMP.7 - Synthesize a Research Evidence Corpus. For deciding whether to retain or revise an identified claim or model contribution and returning the evidence its recipient needs, open RMP.8 - Use Research Results to Retain or Revise an Episteme’s Claims and Return Bounded Evidence. They can use compatible supplied results. Stop after RMP.5 or RMP.6 when its answer already resolves the current question.
