Available continuations when an agent has a usable procedure
Use this bounded structure description to answer which of Continue, Obtain and Repair has its stated conditions in the supplied case? It applies the formal branch of A.22.CGUS to an illustrative agent task. An ordinary task can stop with the preceding explanation; this unit makes the structural and case distinctions replayable.
Call the selected structure G within this unit. Its identity is the following constituent set, four obtaining descriptive relations, three applied constraints and selection-use frame. The permitted descriptive action is to display availability and the first missing or defeated condition. Stop when that question is answered; obtain a missing case fact from its stated supplier. The display neither executes nor authorizes a continuation.
Constituents and local loci
Each row declares one locus local to G, binds the identically labelled constituent and states its role. These are descriptions and candidate continuations, not records of performed work.
| Local locus and constituent | Exact content and contribution to the question |
|---|---|
| T | Task requirement: use the currently applicable procedure designated by N to change target X from version 1 to version 2, preserve at-most-one state-changing effect, and return an observation of X’s actual final state. |
| K | Controller-design description for T: consume an applicable procedure, require a current target observation and available combined observation/action capacity, then use SYSE.42; reopen a premise whose applicability changes and preserve any uncertain attempt. |
| N | Needed-contribution description: the procedure currently applicable to T, including its required current-state observation. A case can leave the applicability of the possessed edition unknown or defeated without changing this need. |
| Q | Acquisition proposal: ask the authoritative procedure service for the current edition and applicability of the contribution designated by N; use the reply in K’s outstanding premise. |
| R | Repair proposal: change K’s transition so that an applicable returned contribution is consumed and a defeated premise is reopened; qualify the revision with the bounded experience of Case A3 while model parameters stay fixed. |
| Continue | Candidate continuation: use the procedure described by K for T, under constraint C below. |
| Obtain | Candidate continuation: enact Q to supply the unresolved or defeated applicability contribution, under constraint O. |
| Repair | Candidate continuation: construct and test the controller revision described by R, under constraint R-test. |
Obtaining relations selected by G
The following local predicates concern written descriptive content. Their meanings, participant order and basis are part of this scheme. They introduce no reusable relation signature or global ontology.
| Occurrence | Predicate and participants in order | Why it obtains in this illustrative content |
|---|---|---|
| rKT: K addresses T | addresses(controller-design description, task requirement): the first description explicitly identifies the second as the task whose execution it organizes. Participants: first K, second T. | K explicitly says “for T” and supplies its consumption, observation and execution design for that requirement. |
| rNT: N is required by T | requiredContribution(contribution description, task requirement): the second description explicitly requires the contribution designated by the first. Participants: first N, second T. | T explicitly requires the currently applicable procedure designated by N. |
| rQN: Q seeks N | seeks(acquisition proposal, contribution description): the proposal identifies the contribution description as what its acquisition is to supply. Participants: first Q, second N. | Q explicitly asks the named service for the current edition and applicability of the contribution designated by N. |
| rRK: R targets K | targets(repair proposal, controller-design description): the proposal explicitly identifies the description whose realization it proposes to revise. Participants: first R, second K. | R explicitly selects K’s consume/reopen transition as its repair target. |
These relations obtain because the descriptions have that content. They do not assert an acquisition, repair or state change has occurred. A missing selected relation leaves this formal identity provisional; the ordinary explanation can remain usable. The case facts below do not manufacture the relations.
Constraints and potential continuations
The domain/interface supplier defines what counts as an applicable procedure, current target observation, sufficient combined ability/resources/timing, resolved prior effect and permitted acquisition. The four constructed cases below stipulate values for those meanings. All required polarities are affirmative; a predicate such as “an applicability contribution is needed” already contains its stated missing-or-defeated meaning.
| Constraint and candidate | Applicable predicates or obtaining basis | Dependent selected occurrences |
|---|---|---|
| C / Continue | a: the possessed procedure edition is applicable to T now. o: the required current target observation is available. c: observation and action can be performed together with the required shared resources and timing. e: the prior-effect condition is resolved so this continuation does not blindly repeat an uncertain effect. Require all four. | rKT and rNT. |
| O / Obtain | n: applicability is unresolved or defeated, so this contribution is needed. s: Q’s authoritative source is reachable in the relevant interval. p: Q is permitted. u: that acquisition is useful and fits the available interval. Require all four. | rQN and rNT. |
| R-test / Repair | f: the repeated consume/reopen failure is present. x: controller-change access is available for this construction. h: qualified construction experience is available. Require these three and the obtaining rRK relation with ordered participants R, K. | rRK and rKT. |
Individual ability does not establish c. Training access is not one of Repair’s conditions. A constructed repair’s availability also does not establish that it will fix a shared-capacity defect.
All three candidates remain in G’s potential topology. They are alternatives under the constraints, not stages. The case results exhibit Continue and Obtain in different cases and Repair while operational progress is blocked or unknown. After obtaining a new contribution, re-evaluate the affected facts; no unqualified temporal edge or mandatory next action is added to G.
Case inputs and their scope
The source of the following case values is this explicitly constructed teaching scenario. They are stipulated about the current procedure, target, performing arrangement and proposals; they are not empirical observations. The written constituent and relation definitions above remain the descriptive basis in every case.
W0–W3 name four alternative comparison windows. Each window holds its stated facts fixed only until a named fact changes; they are not calendar intervals or a dated execution trace. The initial-to-changed-edition comparison changes the applicability facts while preserving G. W2 and W3 are additional contrasts.
“S” means satisfied, “N” not satisfied, “?” unknown. A missing fact stays unknown. The applicable test is defined for each candidate in all four cases, including when its outcome is unknown.
| Case and window | Stipulated facts and about-subject basis |
|---|---|
| Initial / W0 | The possessed procedure applies: a=S. The target observation, combined performance and resolved-effect condition are supplied: o=c=e=S. Applicability needs no acquisition: n=N. Q’s reachability, permission and usefulness/timing are unspecified: s=p=u=?. No repeated consume/reopen failure: f=N. Controller-change access and qualified construction experience are unspecified: x=h=?. |
| Changed edition / W1 | The authoritative procedure has changed and defeats the old edition: a=N and n=S. Q’s source is reachable, Q is permitted, and its acquisition is useful within the available interval: s=p=u=S. Continue’s other conditions remain supplied: o=c=e=S. No repeated controller failure: f=N; x=h=? remain unspecified. |
| Interrupted return / W2 | The return does not establish applicability: a=? and n=S. Q’s source is unavailable in the interval: s=N; p=u=? remain unspecified. The other execution conditions remain supplied: o=c=e=S. A repeated consume/reopen failure, controller-change access and qualified fixture experience are supplied: f=x=h=S. |
| Combined performance fails / W3 | Applicability is supplied: a=S and n=N. The observation and resolved-effect condition are supplied: o=e=S. Individual observation/action abilities are supplied, but shared timing/resources are defeated: c=N. Q’s remaining conditions are unspecified: s=p=u=?. Repair’s construction conditions remain as in W2: f=x=h=S. |
For an actual use, replace these stipulated facts with applicable evidence from the procedure source, target observation, resource/timing account, permission holder and construction experience. This changes the case result. It does not turn the teaching stipulation into evidence about the deployed system.
Separate judgements and derived current sets
Each row below is one candidate judgement. Its constraint identifies the applicable test and affirmative polarity; its case/window identifies every input and about-subject basis in the preceding table; its dependencies identify the selected obtaining occurrences in the constraint table. The rRK basis is separately the obtaining descriptive relation, not a condition value inferred from a label.
Apply this stated rule: an invalid or internally inconsistent case/test returns Error for the affected judgement; otherwise any required N yields Disabled, all required S plus required obtaining relations yield Enabled, and remaining unknown values yield Unknown. Inspect all facts relevant to the claim before using a decisive N. No error is stipulated in these four cases.
| Judgement | Case, window and applicable basis | Evaluated outcomes / obtaining basis | Result and reason |
|---|---|---|---|
| J0-C | Initial, W0, C; rKT/rNT | a=o=c=e=S | Enabled: the procedure, observation, combined performance and effect conditions are supplied. |
| J0-O | Initial, W0, O; rQN/rNT | n=N; s=p=u=? | Disabled: no missing applicability contribution warrants Q; unspecified later predicates do not override that defeated need. |
| J0-R | Initial, W0, R-test; rRK/rKT | f=N; x=h=?; rRK obtains from R,K content | Disabled: the selected repeated-failure trigger is absent. |
| J1-C | Changed edition, W1, C; rKT/rNT | a=N; o=c=e=S | Disabled: the old procedure edition no longer applies. |
| J1-O | Changed edition, W1, O; rQN/rNT | n=s=p=u=S | Enabled: a contribution is needed and reachable; this acquisition is explicitly permitted, useful and timely. |
| J1-R | Changed edition, W1, R-test; rRK/rKT | f=N; x=h=?; rRK obtains | Disabled: source change alone supplies no repeated controller failure. |
| J2-C | Interrupted return, W2, C; rKT/rNT | a=?; o=c=e=S | Unknown: procedure applicability is not established. |
| J2-O | Interrupted return, W2, O; rQN/rNT | n=S; s=N; p=u=? | Disabled: the source cannot supply the contribution in this interval. |
| J2-R | Interrupted return, W2, R-test; rRK/rKT | f=x=h=S; rRK obtains | Enabled: the targeted fixed-model repair has its trigger, access and qualified construction experience. |
| J3-C | Combined performance fails, W3, C; rKT/rNT | a=o=e=S; c=N | Disabled: individually available acts cannot meet the combined timing/resource condition. |
| J3-O | Combined performance fails, W3, O; rQN/rNT | n=N; s=p=u=? | Disabled: applicability is known; another acquisition does not address the failed combined condition. |
| J3-R | Combined performance fails, W3, R-test; rRK/rKT | f=x=h=S; rRK obtains | Enabled: the construction exercise remains available; no claim that it repairs the capacity defect follows. |
The current sets are derived from those judgements, not from the displayed order:
| Window and judgement sources | Enabled set | Disabled set | Unknown set | Stop, return and recheck |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| W0: J0-C/O/R | Continue | Obtain, Repair | Empty | Display Continue. Actual execution needs its own qualified conditions and authority. Recheck changed procedure, target, combined performance or effect state. |
| W1: J1-C/O/R | Obtain | Continue, Repair | Empty | Display Q as available. After a qualified return, rejudge applicability and Continue’s other current conditions. Recheck Q’s access, permission or timing if they change. |
| W2: J2-C/O/R | Repair | Obtain | Continue | Return source availability to its provider and applicability to its authoritative source. Repair remains possible but supplies no missing current fact by itself. |
| W3: J3-C/O/R | Repair | Continue, Obtain | Empty | Return the failed combined condition to its engineering owner; retain the independently available repair exercise. Recheck c only from a changed arrangement or applicable evidence. |
A new currentness fact normally changes only the affected judgement and set. Changing a selected constituent, obtaining relation, constraint or selection-use frame reidentifies G; changing a locus binding or potential-continuation row reopens CGUS membership. If a case contains conflicting applicability statements, stop that judgement as Error and obtain a corrected case basis.
This whole-structure description exposes all three potential continuations and their current results. It does not describe the selected Methods’ internal algorithms, a B.1.5 Method whole, dated Work, learning effectiveness, human motor learning or a transformation-flow network. Those omissions preserve the narrower availability question; they would be insufficient for a claim about performed or authorized work.
