Case C: make a repeated calculation obtainable and adaptable

A team repeatedly asks a specialist to normalize measurements, calculate and explain the result’s limit. One failure used an old unit convention; successors also receive numbers without knowing when the equation applies. C.36.RP makes that interpretation and renewal need visible.

C.38 and C.11.CRC compare direct specialist help, a reusable implementation with retained interpretation, and development of other performers. When construction is selected, the engineer uses SYSE.48 to compare successful and failed attempts with the required result, recover normalization, calculation and explanation as the candidate operation, and construct it from verified primitives. A successful trace motivates the candidate; changed-input tests qualify reuse. ME.21 applies only if the already recovered contributions need reconciliation or allocation.

Measurements, explicit units and equation edition become parameters. Customer-specific constants and guessed conventions are removed. The specialist supplies the equation and allowed region. One metre and 100 centimetres must normalize equally; a new applicable measurement must yield the qualified result; an unknown unit or unsupported regime must return its precise condition.

SYSE.26 and SYSE.27 preserve the contract and compatibility. ME.10 makes the supported operator and example reachable. The next agent must discover it, invoke it through SYSE.47 and SYSE.42, and use the result with its units and conditions. A discovery miss returns to discovery; it is not evidence of bad arithmetic.

ME.15 distinguishes changed Method meaning from a technical edition. SYSE.48 consolidates only demonstrated overlap and withdraws an edition whose equation assumption is defeated. Unaffected primitives and direct specialist help can remain useful. A.15.8 probes consequential support loss; HCD supplies any selected development of the recipient’s interpretation.

The case may end with direct help when construction and maintenance cost more than they contribute. Publishing code alone does not establish continued practice, independent human understanding or model-parameter learning.
