A.15.10:4.5 - Continue far enough to use the recovered basis

Perform a bounded, useful next operation under the recovered method. For example, finish the pending comparison, derive the next consequence, or use the recovered observation to select the next action. A.15.7 helps if that action is still open.

Let the operation expose a consequential missing link. If it does, recover that link rather than treating the difficulty as proof that all previous work is unusable. Stop or obtain help when access, capability or a protected operating condition is missing.

Update the working result in its normal place. Correct a misleading return cue or retire an obsolete one if it would cause a later mistake. An uninterrupted continuation requires no extra “resumed successfully” report.
