A.15.10:4.6 - Transfer the contribution to another performer

When someone else continues, supply what they need to act, not a transcript of everything the previous performer did. Preserve the purpose, governing method, established and unfinished contributions, relevant conditions and accessible source material.

The recipient reconstructs and uses those contributions. Where misunderstanding would change the work, a brief explanation of the intended next operation or a small actual continuation can expose the mismatch. Do not demand a ceremonial read-back when shared material and ordinary performance already make it clear.

A handoff does not itself supply the recipient’s capability, access or authority. Obtain a missing contribution through its direct owner; A.15.9 can help frame a bounded request. If responsibility must change, make that change through the applicable arrangement rather than inferring it from receipt of a message.
